His knowledgeable recital audience brought him back for three curtain calls, as it clearly realized the enormity of his accomplishment. Perhaps this performance was intended to be simply a recital, but it was equally a terrific, though unintended, lesson for those students in attendence.
I find it humorous that the Emory Wind Ensemble's Monday evening practice was without tubas for its last hour, as all three of that group's tuba players were in the recital audience (with permission from Dr. Stewart, I must add).
