I have had two chances to play on two different tubas that Sam has made. They were/are both great sounding horns. Very American sounding, and very similar feel on both of them as well. He uses a King piston vavle section and an old York Eb bell. If I was in the market for a good small/medium sized CC tuba, this is the horn I would buy. Besides, you can't meet a nicer guy than Sam.
