I agree with "ME" in the previous posting. when I tried to perform "non-tuba pieces" my teachers would get upset for that same reason. I think it was in an Jacobs interview where he said that those types of pieces are fun to play on your own but not something you would want to play in public. So, some good recital pieces are just as "ME" said. Actually, along with "Effie", any of the Wilder suites for tuba are good for recitals as well as the Beversdorf. Additionally, senior recital should include the Vaughn Williams Cocerto.
