The mouthpiece you are playing on is quite sufficient for most everything you will encounter. If I were your teacher I would take a very close look at your embouchure and the direction of your air stream while playing in the low register. It sounds as though you don't have enough soft tissue in the mouthpiece to effectively play in the low register and this is not very hard to correct. Check out my previous post at this link and give the exercises a try to see if that makes a difference. I won Tanglewood on a C4 (TU23) and it is a very effective mouthpiece.
