Pretty good sound and intonation on my horn -- no slide manipulation really required. The best mpc I found for assisting with quicker low register response was the PT-72. In the end, I didn't like the extra resistance in the compensating low register when using the horn to cover contrabass parts (pit orchestra), and decided to sell it.

In the Eb world, I think the Willson is the best choice, if funding is available. (unless they have significantly improved the intonation issues on the MW-2141, which has allegedly had a design tweak of some sort)
