I've heard many wonder comments about these horns. However, I purchased a used one a few months ago (and returned it a couple of days later) that was the worst tuba I have ever played. Very stuffy, and very out of tune, even after a lot of slide manipulation. So there are occasional lemons out there. Try it before you commit to it. (Good advice with any horn purchase, of course.)
