Some tuba players can't trill like a fine flautist or violinist, and you may have to find some way of indicating the spirit of a trill without actually trilling as fast as a flute or violin. [Yes, some tubists can alternate between two notes quite rapidly, but I wouldn't call the resulting sound of those I have personally heard very musical.]
