I agree. It is possible. He told me that their Yamaha YBB321 sounded better then my Imperial, and to this day, i still disagree with him. He ain't perfect.
They guy who sold it to me said it was. (also a reputable guy).
I just check the tuba, it looks like you were right. It's compensating.
