What are the best books for developing finger chops?

I am starting from scratch on CC, never having played a valved instrument before. I would like to get my fingers working to the level where muscle memory will take over when reading. An efficient course of study is what I'm looking for.

Range and level of rhythmic difficulty are no problem, tone on the other hand . . . d'oh! (I'm a working bass bone player.)

The book I am starting with is Kopprasch. My plan is to drill the Clarke Technical Studies beginning in a few days.

Suggestions on other/better materials? Arban?

Thanks,

DS
