The question about Sonora stencil instruments and who made them has been up often.

I compared these pics to my 1985 B&S/Weltklang catalogue. It appears as if the B&S Sonora stencil is a renamed version of the second line Weltklang model.
This offer of photo documentation of course is for the far out freak members of the community around this fine board. But we are there, and we are proud of our interest of the development of tuba models on all quality levels. When time and energy comes around my corner, I might upload .pdf files documenting the old GDR piston tubas. Not that I ever would have endorsed them, but they most certainly have been a factor in the low end tuba market.
