Bruckner's symphonies 4-9 are good if you like Bruckner. I am as well partial to his 8th Symphony and own almost every recording of this piece. It is good to start by purchasing the 4th and 7th Symphonies first and go on from there. The CSO/Barenboim recording is a decent 2 for 1 deal. Some good orchestral brass playing in there. Grand ole Chicago sound. Bruckner 4 has some killer block chord playing in the first movement. When listening to Bruckner's 8th I find the best recording sare those that have the horns and Wagner tuben sustaining like mad. The sound like a huge organ that comes out of your stereo and into your ears. Enjoy listening to Bruckner and feel free to email me if you would like some of my recommendations of Bruckner's 8th.
