My partner in concert Band has had one of those new kings for about a year now and he uses the Alteri bag that came with it. His only complaint thus far has been that the bell end rides too high when it is on his back. We both have really old Mirafone 186's and we both have the Reunion Blues bag for them that does seem to be a little bit lower riding on the back. So far as protection goes I would have to say that the two types of bag protect the horns about the same although when not holding a horn the Reunion Blues bag keeps it shape and the Altieri can be rolled to put under a chair. If they could come up with a molded case with back pack straps that was as lite as the Reuion Blues that would be an improvement as far as i am concerned. Now if they would only make a King 2341 Eb at around the same price or lower I would buy one but definitely not silver plate.
