Sorry, to argue. But instead of comments like that...you could tell me what you think I'm supposed to find when I go back and reread your posts. You never actually said anything about not using resistance in the not-so-low low register. And Graham covered the part about the extreme low stuff. If you NEED resistance, what's the point?
If I missed something...tell me. Do you talk to your students this way if they don't get what you're saying the first time?
Scenario:
Mark: Play this excerpt.
Student: This one?
Mark: No, the other one. Can't you listen? Talking to you is like giving directions to a catfish. Oh, the youth of today, makes me sad and scared for the future.
I just can't see that happening.
Sorry to rant. I mean no personal offense, Mark. It's just an attitude I see a lot, and it bugs me.
