Here are three reason why I play CC tuba.
1. Faster responce than any BBb tuba I have ever played, up until I played a new king 2341, but that is the exception
2. Clearer, less tubby sound
3. key signature neutrality makes it better for orchestra playing.
It's no "fad", that statement has to be one of the most ignorant things ever said on tubenet, and I would think that anyone over the age of 12 would have enough brains not to make it.
