Save the insults. I'll put my university-level teaching record up against anyone's. Tossing false modesty to the side, I've been doing it for a long time, and I'm damn good at it.

My point was, and is, that there are aspects of high school teaching which simply don't come up at the college level.

I feel competent to teach just about any university level course in my general area of expertise - but I consider myself completely unequipped to enter a high school classroom. If I wanted to do that, I would bite the bullet and get some training before presuming (as others seem to) that my amply demonstrated excellence at college teaching meant that a local school board should hire me as is, waiving any certification requirements.

Trying out a bad analogy - ask Rick if he would hire an MIT Physics professor to design a bridge.
