Whenever you extend the paddles, you actually make the distance you finger travels longer, thereby making it slightly harder to play fast because of increased travel. Perhaps a full disassembly and cleaning of the rotors and a tightening of the valve springs will make the rotors faster. I had a 190 for a number of years, and when the valves were clean and in good condition they flew. (That was before I attempted to vent them myself, don't try this at home!)
