Actually, I thought it was a fine example. Your reason was identical to mine, except you explained it much better than I could have (hence why I asked).
Oddly, we did in fact fead Morte d'Arthur in my high school. Most of the students, obviously, preferred the movies "First Knight" and "Excalibur" to the book, but I definitely enjoyed all three. There are things a movie cannot do, such as well-conceived figurative language and imagery, while movies obviously can reach a wider audience (and they have THX hehe).
But alas, I have gone off again on something pointless.
