The answer is yes, I would prefer the Miraphone over the larger Willson. There is far more work for an all around 4/4 tuba to earn it's keep than the number of situations a 5/4 horn can fit into. Don't buy a school bus as your daily driver so that you can take your friends to the ball game once a year. Matt
