- No Socialist regime has ever following the original philosophies (which at their roots are flawed) of Socialism. Even if the original concepts theoretically could be followed, the concept of Socialism is flawed at its roots because it corrupts the concepts of generosity and individual charity into confiscation - disallowing individuals from making conscious decisions to help others and leading directly to resenting helping others. This is why Socialism is ruinous to society, even if Socialism did not = tyranny.
- You need not apologize for or explain your affiliations to me. One of my siblings is an N.E.A. member, I get along fine with them, and do not think lesser of them for it. Primarily, I don't equate N.E.A. members with N.E.A. leadership. I do believe that those who promote unsavory things (ex: N.E.A. leadership) must always find some secondary source (ex: insurance, etc.) for their power, as most people would not naturally align behind their dubious causes. Personally, I resigned from the A.F.M. quite a few years ago. This has cost me quite a bit of money in gigs and gig referrals, but also removed quite a bit of resentment and frustration from my heart.
