Interesting comments Jay.
I would like to add that as a previous BAT owner, that Jay is 100% on with the concept approach to playing. However, to extend that, if you use the same approach on the 4/4 after getting accumstomed to the 6/4, I think that the 4/4 will seem different in a way. Now that I play a 4/4, I use the concept of a quality buzz and not blowing more to play louder. I can easily project now and easily rattle picture frames and whatnot without actually blowing my brains out. 6/4 horns teach us one important thing: effeciency. They will take all of the air you can give'em, but it is only the quality that counts.
To add to the BAT list:
The Rudy-Meinl 5/4 (really 6/4)
I think it works/responds the closest to the York-a-likes with a rotary set-up.
