I don't own a PT-6, but I have played 5/4 and 6/4 horns in BQ's over the years. My Rudy 3/4 seems to really fit the bill, however, sometimes a big horn can work. Do what works for you and your quintet. If you can only buy one horn, get one that fits in with what you most commonly play. My guess is that the PT-6 would be excellent middle ground.
