I'm not a real repair person, but I would worry about missing the bead and hitting the flare.
How about clamping a plastic-coated spring clamp to the bead, moving it around the circle until the loose spot is found? Gently heating this spot with a torch, possibly adding a drop of solder, should immobilize the vibrating wire.
