I remember, at age 15, riding in the car with a guy (blind as a bat AND severely cross-eyed -- REALLY!!!) who was BORROWING a Cutlass "Hurst" 454. Flat on the floor = alMOST over the side railing and down into the concrete-lined drainage ditch. Luckily, we and the car missed the railing and stayed on the pavement.

Update: He soon later busted himself up with an extensive hospital stay driving his own '69 Nova 350. Fortunately sane today, I just rented him some band instruments for his kids a couple of weeks ago after not having seen him since high school. ***** Epilogue: I don't allow my own under-18 children to drive without me in the car, and when over 18 and under 21, don't offer MY vehicles to them for use.
