From what I have gathered, a "true" Helleburg is a vintage 20s-30s-ish Conn Helleburg, a copy of August Helleburg's (tubist for the Sousa Band) mouthpiece. The Schilke is supposed to be a copy of that, with a modern Conn 7B close behind it. I think the Schilke II is all-around larger, and a modern Standard Conn is deeper than a 7B with the same rim as the original. I think because of the popularity and the uninformed, "Helleburg" has become a generic term, interchangeable with "Funnel", at least for tuba mouthpieces.
In my mind, Helleburg mouthpieces are these, and other that copy that original used by August Helleburg. Anything else, like my PT-48 or a Tuba Exchange Rose, are just funnel-cups.
