I must be honest and say that I am trying the free Finale Notepad at the moment. My intent was to purchase Finale based on how well the not-nearly-as-powerful-or-fancy free download version worked for me. One of the most important aspects that I have to consider is what the music looks like printed, and at least with my free version, it does not look so good. The f's just under the staff look like g's and such. So, if this is an indication of what the full version's printed music looks like, I'm not too blown away by the results.
