Nope, this was the work of a friend (thanks, Carole!) who stumbled over it at the Brass Bow in Arlington Heights, IL. You better believe I was on the phone in seconds.
And this photo was taken with the horn literally minutes out of its shipping box. So yeah, it really looks like that.
FWIW, Jay's opinion that a heavy horn seems to benefit from a bell flange appears to apply to this one too. It appears to be a Böhm and Meinl-made instrument and is durned near as heavy as Rick's York Master. Now there's two of us wondering if it's possible to find larger valve buttons (the 4th valve is a looong way away).
