I just picked up a copy of "From the Steeples and the Mountains", a fine collection of "American Music for Brass" by the London Gabrieli Brass Ensemble. It's pretty cheap (around $10), and has some great stuff on it. It may not have a whole lot of flashy tuba playing, but the ensemble sounds great, and the production value on the disc is *very* high. The liner notes for each tune are surprisingly extensive, and even feature pixx of the composers. Hyperion Records has some information about it at their website, and you can find it under the "Helios" section.

Quite a nice find for not much money!!
