Thanks for the input. Nowhere in any of the liner notes is there any mention of arrangers. It would certainly make sense if Washburn was responsible for some part of it. On one cut there is a solo tuba lick that also acts as a modulation-----who, but a tuba player, would have that kind of arranging chutzpah in 1929?
