I think that Doug Elliot mouthpieces are great. They are very well made and the ability to select different combinations of shank, rim, and cup allows for incredible flexibility. The only problem is finding the right combination for you. Fortunately Doug is very good at providing this kind of advice. I tried them out at the US Army Band Tuba/Euphonium conference and he was great. He has a nice comparison chart of the different components in his catalog to help in choosing if you can't try them in person.
