Pick up a copy of Wes Jacobs' "Low Register Studies" from Encore Publishers (URL below). My students use it on a regular basis, and so do I. Highly recommended. One suggestion: practice the quarter-n0te exercises alternating between sluring and tonguing. Those exercises are very helpful and the etudes in the book will help you learn to move around more easily in the low register. Good luck.
