Although I don't know how qualified I am to really make statements regarding what a horn can do, since I haven't played that many different horns, but here goes. The King plays really well in the low register, great response and depth of sound. It also plays very well in the higher register, although it is taking some getting used to (I've played with a tuner, and the notes are in tune, they just sound off to me, because I'm used to an Amati 321.).The horn tends to play sharp, so when I bought it Matt Walters built a new tuning slide for it, so I have much more room to adjust. Really a great horn, especially for price.
