I don't really have much respect for anon. postings. I studied with Toby for a two summers at Chautauqua. He taught at NEC, Yale and Manhattan for a number of years besides playing in the New York City Ballet Orchestra. There could be concerns with his ability to change his lesson schedule and other such problems that may arise but he has had a rather full schedule for years. His students include a number of great players such as Gary Press, Jeff Parker, John Stevens and Chuck England. The style of his teaching is very much related to Arnold Jacobs. New York City is a great place to be because of all of the concerts, gigs and Knicks basketball.
