Let's don't even get into why sacred tuba parts can come up missing. Suffice it to say I need all 4 tuning slides for an old Conn 20J (3-valve, 24" recording bell). New ones have to be built for about $600 and I need a cheaper alternative. Or would it be semi-wise to put this much money into a 1965 horn that otherwise is in pretty fair condition? I don't know what the resale value of this instrument would be, or of the demand, nor do I know much about the merits/demerits of rescuing this old horn for posterity. Any advice is greatly appreicated. Many thanks in advance - woody b
