I just bought a case for mine. I didn't intend to fly with it but here is what I learned:
1). In the Walt Johnson line, it requires the largest shell i.e. most expensive of their cases. I assume this is because of the height. There would be a lot of padding.
2). It fits well in a Mirafone 186 case. The case is slightly larger than the horn but it will work. There are several options for cases for Mirafone 186's. Dennis Askew told me that they had flown their 186's in the Mirafone cases with liberal use of duct tape around the clasps and hinges. The horns came through fine.
3). It fits very well in the case for a Cerveny 686. This case is not as heavy as the Johnson but isn't as expensive either. I bought this case from Baltimore Brass Co.
