Indeed, the 5th part in the Robert King arrangement of this work is a euphonium part and this part gets most of the "juicy" licks in the piece. My preference is for the 5 part version which is the original. You might contact the contractor of the group and explain to him that the original has only 5 parts and using that version would obviate the need to hire 6 musicians, assuming you aren't playing any other pieces that use more than 5 players.
