I've been to a lot of music schools in the past couple years, here are my opinions:

Rice University has fantastic practice rooms with lots of space and windows. The 2 tubists have a special room to themselves and that alone is a big plus.

The curtis institute has really varied practice areas, but they all have plenty of space.

Illinois, Michigan state and U. Michigan have small, old rooms, but there are plenty of big spaces (halls, classrooms) at Umich to use in the evenings.

Indiana has good rooms, and lots of them!

I never saw U. So Cal's rooms, everyone was practicing outside!

Arizona State's rooms are great, lot's of space and higher than average ceilings.

Northwestern's rooms are pretty big, and the views of the lake are inspirational.

IMO FWIW, whatever.

Practice EVIRONMENTS are a totally different idea, and much more important.
