One question... If you're having problems with your playing, then why are you looking for ADVANCED tuba literature? Shouldn't you go back and work those problems out? This would seem like a logical answer to me, rather than trying to play something you aren't ready to tackle, and developing more problems. Theoretically, you should have no trouble with playing either horn. I have always been told that you play everything on BOTH horns, no matter what the piece is. It helps develop chops, and makes you a stronger reader. what do I recommend for tuba literature? Don't abandon the F tuba, rather practice equal amounts of time on both. Play the same piece on both horns, and see how much you learn about your playing. My advice... Pull out fountains of rome, and play it on both horns until you're ready to take an audition with it. Oh.. and work on those problems. my 2 cents...
