These mutes are made by a couple of Dallas Symphony members (and faculty members of Souther Methodist University), so all of the guys down in this area use TrumCor...they sound really great, very mellow and in-tune. Maybe not the best if you're looking for the brassy rattle you'd get with an aluminum mute...but by far the best mute I've ever played.
