First thing I would do is get ahold of the Torchinsky book like Jay recommended(and I am going to so the same) and pull out the metronome. There are some tricky passages. Please read Jay Bertolet's post under yours too. I can not say much my self because I have yet to play this piece with the orchestra but will do so now.
As for recordings the most famous and a must have that I can think of is the 1954 CSO/Fritz Reiner recording. This is an old recording put out by RCA VICTOR. I am sure you can go to somewhere like www.amazon.com and order it online. This is one of my favorites in my huge collection. The one I have also has Also sprach Zarathustra on it. This is a chance to here it played by the man himself, Arnold Jacobs. Not to mention "Bud" sounds like a god(as usual) on this one.
Good Luck and have fun!

Cheers (_)?
Pete
