I bought a pro-tec bag about four years ago, and recently sold it along with my old horn. It was well made, had sturdy zippers and seams, and convenient pockets and straps. It had a side zipper running the whole legnth of the case, which made it easier to remove the horn. I think that ease of use is important with a soft case so that you can carry your horn carefully. The pro-tec bag worked well in this regard. Mine still looked great after four years, with no failures of any kind. I expect it would have done well over the long term.
