Greg Black has agreed to make me two new models of Tuba mouthpieces: the Mendoker model is for BBb or CC tubas and has a wonderfully resonant quality while remaining deep and clear throughout all registers. It's slightly heavy with the major portion of the added weight being below the hole. (There's a similar picture at his web site (www.gregblackmouthpieces.com) The cup is funnel in shape with a bowl shape at the bottom.
The Mendoker Solo is for EEb and F tubas and is similar to the aforementioned mouthpiece but "tightened up" proportionately to accomodate a shallower cup.
