Hi Cheryl,

congrats on your new horn! Don't listen to the folks
who "understand" your problem and then critique your horn
as "stuffy" or whatever, it's still much more free-blowing than even
your old Ziess. Last fall, after I sold both of my BBflat tubas
and bought my Bohm&Meinl, I got called to play Bruckner 4.
My teacher gave me the excerpts, and I wrote all the fingerings in
to compliment what I was trying to do with learninig the fingerings.
THAT gig went fab...and later I just stayed persistent in re-memory-ing
my muscles by playing lots of scale studies. I am still putting 90%
of my home time into scale studies now...and "trusting the process."

Regards,

Dale
