The piggy may initially seem like it would make life easier, but it most likely won't. If you have a 2145, that is a good-enough tuba to play professionally on, so don't be fooled into thinking it isn't. It is going to be SOOO much work to play any tuba to high standards of performance, but that is the great thing about having goals in life and going for them.
