It depends on how much sound you want to put out. There are large bore compact CC's out there that might be what you're looking for, and they put out more sound than most 3/4 CC's. I have a Yamaha 661 CC for sale that is tightly wrapped but plays like a larger tuba than it looks like. A Cerveny piggy would also be worth looking at, they have thinner brass which would make it lighter (albeit easier to dent) and you could probably find one for a nice price.
