Definitely consider either the Yamaha 321 or the Weril (similar to the 321 but with a large shank receiver). I own both a Willson 2900 and a Yamaha 321. The 321 is an excellent horn and there are plently of used ones on the market. The horn is not compensating, but that is usually not a problem except on more advanced literature. The 321 doesn't produce as full a sound as the Wlllson, but that hasn';t stoooped it from being used by some very fine players, Rich Matteson for one. Later, when she decides that this is something shes going to stick with, she can invest more money on a horn. Keep the 321 though, most of those expensive horns don't have lyre holders, which may be usefull.
