The cylindrical throat is what I noticed on the other Monette tuba mouthpieces.
I liked the one I played for a day a few years ago (can't even remember which one it was), but I didn't like it 5x more than other mouthpieces. I guess I'm not "serious" enough to lay out that kind of cash.
