Gerard Hoffnung may have been first to perform Chopin on tuba, but his tuba quartet arrangement of a Chopin mazurka couldn’t help but coming off as humorous.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for a lyrical solo, WindSong Press has just published my transcription for tuba and piano of Chopin’s Nocturne in E-flat Major, Op. 9, No. 2.

I have performed it on CC tuba, but it may be even better suited for Eb tuba.

I’m most proud of the cover art, which was done by my 16-year-old daughter.

Thanks very much for allowing me to “gush” a little bit.
