Be sure and have in mind what your major usage for the instument will be. I played a Willson 2900SL for ten years, all of that being mostly band work with some solo work. I have recently switched to the Yamaha 842S, partly because it's a bigger horn, but mostly because I like the solo sound of it much better than the Willson. I had to fight the Willson and really make it sound soloistic, which I don't have to do on the Yamaha. Just my opinion, but be sure and try both horns, and think about what you're really going to be using it for before you drop the cash to buy one.
