He did mention adding a piece of METAL to the inside of my 4th tuning slide (I believe it was my 4th), on my Cerveny 601 to take away some of the openess of the non-graduated bore. I don't know how close this is to an acousticoil, but sounds like the same concept to me.
I guess we'll see if he chimes in (hint, hint Matt :->)
