No I never foamed the case. Have no time, zero time, right now. For the F I'm thinking large wheeled garbage bin plus foam and volleyball. For the C, I don't know where to start, since it is so big anyway (comparatively.) I wish there were other "pro" options out there for cases, being extremely unhappy with the company that I have done business with.
Maybe when I retire from Corporate Rat Race I will specialize in inexpensive custom foamed Rubbermaid tuba cases.

BTW my Bariton arrived in hard case with peanuts in large box; very compacted wad of packing paper stuffed in/around bell. It worked fine; UPS was unable to mash it.
